Flying is a nightmare. For the planet, of course, but also for your head. The early rising, the humiliating shoeless scans, the queues, imprisonment in an airport lounge for a minimum of 2 hours before your flight, being unable to keep in mind the actual safety stats when turbulence hits, the gazing at the carousel wondering which black bag is yours, then being taken to your hotel by a politically innovative cab driver.
Meanhile, someone else is taking the train. They’re getting stuff done. They’re stretching their legs. They’re wandering, chatting, visiting the catering car. They’re literally enjoying the scenery. And when they’re arrive, they’re grabbing their bags and stepping right out onto the streets of their final destination.
¡AU! wants to get you out of the clouds and back on Earth (where all the good stuff happens), so we’re launching Headway, a green travel initiative for media industry events. Expanding on the award-winning legacy of our friends at The Flint Green Line, our launch event ¡AU! Headway To ISE 2026 is a gathering of media professionals in a SNCF train carriage, travelling from Paris to Barcelona, on Feb. 2 for the ISE tradeshow.
Headway to ISE 2026 will combine comfort, discussion with colleagues, and the chance to get back the time stolen from you by airports – along with a carbon footprint lower than if you had stayed at home.
ISE (Integrated Systems Europe) is one of the top audiovisual technology trade shows in the world. Running from Feb. 3-6 at Fire de Barcelona, with over 85,000 attendees and 1600 exhibitors, it is a top destination for systems integrators and tech companies from around the world. ISE is working to improve its sustainability practice year on year and is the headline sponsor of our inaugural Headway event. You can read more about the show’s full raft of sustainability events here.
Passengers aboard Headway to ISE 2026 will of course get bragging rights to cleaner, more future-facing travel choices, but they’ll also get a day of:
- Networking and fun with industry colleagues
- Knowledge sharing & sustainability strategizing
- Games and prizes (see “fun” above)
- Participation in ¡AU!’s video and editorial coverage
- 6 hrs and 50 minutes of gorgeous French & Spanish countryside
We invite other forward-thinking companies exhibiting at ISE to join us in encouraging fun green travel for the media industry. For queries about partnership and for ticket sales email us at ISE@au-works.com
